When I fussy cut my butterflies, I pick the piece of fabric that I want to show off, cut a larger piece of fabric than the paper section needs & center it onto the paper pattern. Then holding it to a light, I adjust the fabric & paper until I can see the butterfly is exactly where I want it to be. Pin the fabric & paper in the center & continue on from there.
