Bonnie Hunter over at www.quiltville had a paper pieced hexagon project that she did. It took a long time but she posted pictures of her progress on her blog. Take a look at how hers is done and it will encourage you to keep going. If that doesn't work, think about doing a bed runner for your bed instead of a quilt. Bed runners are very "in" right now.
