I have been that way. I have never been able to aplique right... It really gets me because I could always draw and can just about draw any design I see onto fabric. I just can't get it to look right. I have never had much experience hand sewing and I don't like the look of machine sewn aplique. Recently I tried to do a mystery quilt and most of the blocks I could piece but two of them I just can't get right... I haven a tendency to wad those pieces up and stick them in a drawer but the drawer is getting full! lol Take a nap and try again, thats what has worked for me a few times.
