I made a similar quilt for my granddaughter, but assembled and sent the quilt to a long-arm quilter rather than trying to quilt it myself. Someone on here said something about doing the applique first, then quilting the block if you decide to QAYG. I tend to agree with that, because the applique stitches will be visible on the back if you qpplique the sandwich. Anyway...here's the one that I made
