Chris, BarKeeper's Friend doesn't scratch stainless or chrome, so I can't see that it would harm your blackside finish. Test one small area first, anyway.
Janice, thanks for the reply and info. May test a smal portion on the backside of one of the slide plates. Worth a shot and one does have some rust on the backside as well. ~ Chris
FYI: My container of Barkeeper's Friend says it is safe on glass cooktop stoves. Has anyone tried it here?
