I used to use HP quilt Label maker but it quit working with newer versions of Windows operating software. I also used other publishing softwre. However, my experience is that even when printing on treated fabric washing seems to fade the inkjet printed labels much more than ones done with permanent fabric pens. I have an inket printed fabric label on a bed quilt that had an image and words and now all you see is a blob of color. I have another quilt that is older with a label made using permanent fabric markers and it is still legible. Both of these have been washed numerous times.

I have done printed labels on fabrics treated with Bubble Jet set and on pre-treated sheets that I have purchased. No matter what is used to treat the fabric I still like the durability of the fabric markers/pens best.
