I finally got my hands on it!!!!!!! my mother gave it to me now instead of being passed on to me when she passes away.

I dont have pictures yet but I will (my camera is funny takes a disk have to fill up the whole disk)

The quilt was made from 1936-1946 by my great grandmother.
It was made from Domino sugar bags( I remember seeing the blue domino print when I was little its gone now)
Feed sacks and my grandmother elementary school dresses

My problem ,my mother has not taken that great of care of it
She used it as any other quilt (including washing and drying) up until a few years ago

The back fabric is rotting and one of the fabrics on the patches is rotting (only one print)
But the patches are applique so that shouldn't be to hard to redo

I am just wondering should I try and fix it or should I just put it up and save it as it is for future generations
This quilt is really special to me and I would love to return it to its original splendor but I dont want to take away from what it is.

So what do you think
Would you try and restore it or conserve it?
