I ran out of border fabric on a quilt once. I centered the borders along the length of each side and then used the contrasting print from the center to make a "L" shaped corner to fill in the gaps.
Another idea is to cut the border in half and fill in the middle of the border with a contrasting fabric.
Ooooh! That sounds like fun! I hadn't thought of the L-shaped corner. I'm going to have to play with that idea. That could be beautiful.
