I bought that book solely for that pattern. I'm so glad to see someone's version of it. My guild is doing a 2.5" batik strip swap this year and I figure that by summer I should have a good selection of strips to combine with a Bali Pop. I love how yours came out.
What did you use for the background fabric? Is it a batik or a regular fabric?
