From the Villie Lauder video I found online, her method is similar to this one:

Both of these methods however do require drawing a line on your fabric.
I've got a pattern picked out which requires the flying geese so I am interested in any method that will help me get points and corners matched up without me pulling my hair out.

I just had a workshop on Billie Lauder's tips. Her method of flying geeses was very good. Easy and came out great. I think I'll stick with that for now. I'd probably misplace the ruler and be out.
