That stinks, I do hope that you get it back but be aware too, that when you insure something through the postal service you must have a receipt for the item. If you feel your quilt was worth $1000 (just tossing a number in) and insured it for $1000 you will need a receipt for $1000 (that you either bought it or sold it) not a receipt from the local fabric store for 50 bucks, claiming that your time was the other $950, they will simply deny your claim.
The only way to go is priority (3 day) & be sure the receiving party is aware it is on it's way so IF the package does not arrive in that 3 days, they can start tracking it right away. They usually tell you the day & before or after 12:00, with delivery confirmation meaning SOMEONE has to sign for it or the package will not be left at your door.
