The last needle that came with my antique White treadle simply snapped in half this afternoon while sewing and when I took the butt end out it flipped somewhere (never again to be found) and now I can't measure the needle to try to hunt down some more. I know it was a longer-than-normal needle but I have no clue how long. Does anyone have an idea as to what I'm going to have to look for? I tried a standard needle but that simply won't work (even dropping it down somewhat - makes for skipped stitches). Oh, please help!
