I'm not a fan of my current sewing room's walls, so I didn't mind putting up a strip of sticky backed Velcro. The sew on half of the package (yes, it was sold like that - how cool) is sewn to 2 1/4 yards of cream colored fleece so the wall is 60 by 81. The fleece will hold a quilt without pins and the whole thing can be removed when I need the room. So far no one has noticed a strip of Velcro near the ceiling when it's down. Works for me.
