Ok I need some input. I am looking at a Bruce Rotary treadle. The machine and cabinet are in really good shape as far as I can see from pictures. I haven't committed yet to actually go see the machine in person, as I know I will buy it! Anyway, I have done a little research about the Bruce Sewing Machine Co. from Springfield. I have not been able to determine if they actually made the Bruce machine or if it is a badged machine. From what I have read, Davis or Free may have made the machines for Bruce. The cabinet looks like it could be either a Davis or Free design. Anyone have a Bruce Rotary or know anything about this machine?

I've learned that it's hard to tell the manufacturer of a machine by the treadle cabinet! Most machine makers only made the heads, and the cabinets were made by another local company. I don't know about the Bruce Rotary, but it gives me something to surf for today!
