The 66 was manufactured between 1902 and 1956! The Redeye decal lasted until mid to late 1920's. It is quite possible the machine you are looking at was electrified - people did that all the time to those treadles. They put a motor on them as soon as they had electricity in their homes! Did you see the Serial Number?

Nancy

Thank you Nancy I didn't think it was from 49 just didn't sound right to me. No I didn't get the Serial Number sure wish I would have. We are going back in a couple of days I'll get it then if it's still there. My DH got a sewing machine out of the shed, that I didn't know was there and it is a Red Eye, I was so surprised to see it. It looks like it was electrified but the wires had been cut. I would love to change it back to a treadle.
