I have to respectfully disagree with you. Clearly you've never seen Diane Gaudynski's work. She does the most beautiful, intricate quilting and all on her domestic machine. (There are many others who do so as well, but Diane is pretty well known in quilting circles and has a great site that showcases her quilts.) Here's a link if you'd like to take a look
