My 3 year old fell in love with a quilt and had to have it. Upon getting it home, and more of a thorough looking over I discovered that the seller, instead of putting a quilting label on the quilt, printed her name on a 6x4 piece of patch and stuck it on a corner of the blanket.. (the kind that you use to repair holes in the knees of jeans!) It was too late to take it back to the quilt show, so I have washed it & washed it and it is still hard as ever! My daughter refuses to have the blanket now because of the "pokey" and I don't blame her! I would like to remove it, but (1) I don't know how to without ruining the quilt and (2) a piece of the corner is lifting off and I can see the ink she used on the patch is bleeding through to the fabric. Anyone have any suggestions? I put my own labels on quilts, but I have never seen this before!
