I think she would rather go back in a treadle. Too bad Lafayette is so far - then again it probably wouldn't fit that cabinet. Then I fooled around with a Singer Merritt. It would HC or treadle pretty easily. It now works. I also fooled around with a Singer Spartan. I'm not satisfied with the belt so I need to order one. The Spartan is in really nice shape - it has a light and motor with new wires.
