Have you lowered the feed dogs to FMQ? I had it happen a couple times, but after cleaning the bobbin case really well and re-threading the machine, I had no more problems. Oh, I also changed the needle, so I really don't know what caused it, but one of those obviously did. Are you using a good-quality thread that is not too old? Old thread can weaken I am told.
