Depends on what you like. I prefer to color group. Others are happy to take whatever out of the bag and use black or navy sashing around a large group to make them play nice together. You might even consider just separating the light and dark, using the dark in one section of the quilt and the light in the other. That's what I'm doing with my 2 inch squares. The darks are being made into
hearts, and all the lights will be used to make the pieced border.
