I also have bad habit of sewing over pins,not changing needle in sewing and embroidery machine until I run into problems BUT my biggest BAD habit I will Never do again,while FMQ on emb/sewing machine I ended up breaking 3 needles and after much frustration I took bobbin casing apart and was totally horrified to find so much lint that it looked like I had felt pads between my feedogs and under casing.You see I had made 13 embroidered blankets ( fleece) for the children in the family for christmas presents last year and bad me I never cleaned my machine,how it sewed anything I have no ideal.But it is a real work horse of a machine.I not only broke 3 needles but also managed to get burs on my throat plate which caused bobbin thread to fray so at 4 a.m. when hubby got home from work he fixed the burs and machine FMQs like a dream.
