Looked at EQ7 and am very confused. I just remarked to my son and future DIL that I didn't want to pay $189 for software and they said they would get it for my birthday. Not sure I want it. Hmmmm.
Don't be afraid. You should go for it. I love my EQ. Besides being a whole lot of fun I think it's improved my design skills and saved me from a lot of design mistakes. I find it the easiest way to play with design and compare the results.
BTW, you could also use any of the log cabin designs for these blocks.
