Beaniekins---check at the LQS. the suggested retail is around $20/meter. The chain store marks it up, so when they have a sale it is what the price should be. Same with their notions. Ruler at chain store--over $30, local quilt store--under $20--everyday. DMC floss--chain store--$1.25, local quilt store--$.75 everyday(suggested retail is $.89). Just because they are a chain, they are not always the best deal in town.
Thanks for the tip. I do normally shop at the smaller independent stores in town, but their batting is definitely more than $20 a metre. I always shop around to get the best deals.
