I bought a LED clamp light from Lowes several months ago (actually bought 3 total.) Lowes had them on clearance for $15.00. They are a great alternative to the more expensive Ott lights. I have 1 by my cutting table that I can move over to the sewing machine when I need extra light, 1 by my chair for hand sewing (especially good when hand sewing a dark binding to a dark backing) and 1 by my bed for reading. I found a similar light on Ikea's website (
