Cotton! Quilting fabric works perfectly and so does home furnishing fabrics, if it's cotton. Cut off the old cover's string and casing and just sew it onto fabric you like! Or if you're really busy (that's Southern for "lazy"!) like me, just put new fabric right on top of the old cover!
