I have a lot of the Essentials thread sets. It is so pretty. I use the cone size for piecing. I use a variety of threads. Right now my favorite quilting thread is Glide by Fil Tec. Very economical for big quilts and no lint at all. I love that brown color you picked out!
If you have one of the child's microscopes (the red one every child seems to have) look at the different threads. You can see blurps and knots and thinned areas in the thread. I was surprised at the high price thread that looked awful compared to other brands.
