I'm looking again...what kind of thread did you quilt with and is it FMQ? Did you draw the cat first and then stitch outlines it and then filled in the quilting? I love it.
Hi Natalie, This is quilted with Glide thread made by Filtec. I think the color is ivory. Yes I drew out the cat with watersoluble marker and then did all the background zentangling free hand. A few of the doodles I used a curved ruler to outline. The very first cat I did quilt the outline first but once I got going I did background fill right up to my drawn line for the next cat in the border and didn't bother to outline quilt the cat until I had done a bit of fill behind it. I used the outlined of the cat to travel to different areas of the border if I needed to.
