I had no trouble with the layering of it with Minkee. I use the basting spray, so just had some pins around the very edge - I find the basting spray works much better than basting pins. And I do the layering vertically, on my design board, which is batting mounted on a board which is mounted to the sewing room wall. It's much easier than laying it on the floor, or finding a large enough table to do it. It takes me no time at all.
