acrylic templates are out there at many sites. the one that is easy and makes points is flat on the wide end. easy to mark and cut fabric pieces. then you just take one piece and fold the wide end and stitch, then when you "open" it flat you get that nice point. look for tutorials showing this method and you will see how easy they are.
