Well, Well, Well, here we are at the 7th week...I can't believe it...it seems like we just started this journey....All of you have been busy keeping the posts going...I do read most of them...it seems like I'm a lurker... I just finished a Boomerang here on the board...It was fun and now I really do have to start paying attention here. I'm wondering where all the other cowpokes disappeared to??? I guess they're hiding in the bushes somewhere...come out , come out, wherever you are!!!!!

Now for a letter

Letter of the Week #4--Keith Walker; Juneau County, Wisconsin

For those of you who enjoy reading about the Pony Children as they grew up, I
have a treat for you today.

I was able to find a photo of Keith Walker as an adult!! Please go to the photo
section to view his picture.

Keith was born, Keith Singletary Walker in 1904. The children in the picture on
page 11 are believed to be his sister Bernice (b. 1906), and brother Raymond (b.
1909).

Keith's parents were Levi Walker (b. 1879) and Clara Janetta Singletary (b.
1877) and they were married in 1902. The family was all listed in the 1910
census, but by the 1920 census, Keith's father was a widower. Keith's mom Clara
died sometime between the ages of 33 and 43, when Keith was between 5 and 15
years age. I do not know if his father remarried.

Keith married Myrtle Stewart who was also born in 1904. They both passed away
while living in Florida; Keith in 1972 at the age of 68, and Myrtle in 1984 at
the age of 80. It is unknown if they had any children.

The picture of Keith and Myrtle was taken in 1962 at Prairie Farm in Barron
County, Wisconsin. Keith is holding his great neice, Shelia Mickelson and his
wife is holding their great nephew, Mark James Mickelson; twins perhaps?
