I'm making a baby quilt and am using appliqué and embrodery on it. My problem is becoming the transfer of the story I'm using. I've tried transfer sheets that are supposed to be used in sewing projects(think marking darts in dressmaking)-that simply wasn't dark enough or stayed on the muslin long enough(it was disapearing ink?). I decided that I would get carbon paper for typing and try that. It worked great except I moved the paper I was transfering and caused the lettering to be above the lines they are supposed to be resting on. I can make adjustments to the lettering but the carbon marks don't want to be erased, does anyone know if they would come out by washing or should I just pick up a new piece of material and start over on this little part?
