There are/were some small shops in Vero/Port St. Lucie but I think they closed (or have really small selections).

The Quilt Place is awesome!
A bit north of Stuart located on US-1 is a nice little place called Marilou's. She's often got all the 45" fabric on sale. Last week it was $6.50/yd and includes the major brands of quilters cottons and batiks.

There were a couple of places in Vero Beach - the Dragonfly and The Quilted Iris I think are the names. They are both pretty small and I thought hard to find. I haven't been to either of them in over a year...not even sure if they are still in business.
