I would try to get an experienced quilter to teach the group a new way of doing something - maybe paperpiecing on a roll of adding machine tape, and then making a 12-1/2" patch out of it. This may be new to you and to the lady who yelled at you. Maybe each one could bring scraps of fabric, maybe you alone could bring a roll of the adding machine paper, that way you are sharing the idea too. In teaching her this new method of paperpiecing, she is learning something new, you are too, and maybe all the other ones. I hope you are having prayer before and after the meeting. In fact, tell the group when something like this happens, that you take a break and pray for each others and help with the feelings that are being shown. That way everyone will have the decency to pray about it. Please go back to the group and establish a friendship with this lady. She may need a friend very badly at this time in her life. Things happen to every family that no one outside knows about. Hang in there, the Lord may want you there as an example.
Hope this makes you feel better! Thanks for sharing.
