Civil War Themed Quilt...quilted by Aubrey's Quilting Creations
I am finally done with this quilt for a customer. I really enoyed quilting on this quilt and spent close to 50 hours on this with just the quilting! I used almost 3000 yards of thread in this quilt. In the borders around the outside of this quilt I found a really neat old time inkwell pen online and used this as the inspiration for the design in the borders. In the blue strips within the quilt I went with a similar idea and from a spiral I have two feathers coming out of it and rotated directions with each of these units. Within in the blocks I drew several designs on paper before I settled on this design and felt it did the best job of highlighting all the pieces as well as not focusing on the few places where the pieces did not match up the best. There is alot of detail within these blocks but at the same time I think it fits this quilt perfectly. Thanks for looking
