Do like everyone suggests - look at the patterns and online, but leave the rest till you are fully retired.

I retired 1.5 years ago and initially was a quilting nut, finishing something like 12 small and mid size quilts in 6 months. Then I hit the wall, so I stopped for about 3 months - doing nothing but looking online at the QB and patterns and magazines. Finally saw something different I had never done (a US Flag bargatello(sp?), so started to cut that out. Got it 1/2 finished and found two other quilts I wanted to make so started to cut those out. Then petered out on all 3 and decided to just cut squares and strips out of scraps.

Signed up for a class on Stack & Whack, and finished one! Then a second top for my daughter! Now I'm stuck again. There is no perfect solution for the doldrums.....just wait awhile and keep looking. Eventually something will get those creative juices flowing again and you will wonder what was all the fuss about.
