"Tech Support: 'I need you to right-click on the Open Desktop.'

Tech Support: 'Did you get a pop-up menu?'
Customer: 'No.'
Tech Support: 'OK. Right-Click again. Do you see a pop-up menu?'
Customer: 'No.'
Tech Support: 'OK, sir. Can you tell me what you have done up until this point?'
Customer: 'Sure. You told me to write 'click' and I wrote 'click'."'

This one really made me laugh. I've worked in customer support for computers for years. A long time ago, I was talking a customer through a problem and I kept telling her to type 'ABC' space 'DEF' and hit enter. I don't remember anymore exactly what i was telling her, but a space key was involved. Well, it wasn't working and she was getting more upset by the minute so I finally hung up, got in the car, and drove to her office. What I found was she was NOT hitting the space bar. She was actually typing "SPACE". We had a good laugh over it and I've always been careful to tell people "hit the space bar" since then. You just can never be certain how literally someone will take what you are saying.
