I was skeptical and always try to find a "cheaper" way to go, but have to say..do yourself a favor and ditch harbor frieght, Sears, the auto store, etc...BUY these clover clips...they are made for what we want to use them for...and they DO work, very well! They are easy on the older hands than anything else I have seen or used! Pricey, yes, but really worth it as all GOOD tools are!

I just used them to stretch some fabric on a board to paint...no BITE marks in my fabric edges, no pulling, it laid nice and flat...

I also used them to hold some ends of a braided rug I had to repair!
