A few years ago we had a hawk nest in the vicinity. When mom hawk finally took the two kidlets out of the nest for flight and hunting training the kids ended up in our backyard a lot for some reason. One morning I stood just feet away from them as they were trying to catch a squirrel, who had age and treachery on his side and was giving them a reall run for their money.
