Well dunster, for a newbie you do some awesome work.
The silverware trays are a great idea. My friend Lu used the same things when doing her Log Cabon quilt and it kept everything nice and organized. She has loaned them to ,e for doing my next quilt which is either Triple Irish Chain or Summer Lake Log Cabin. (Leaning very heavy toward the log cabin) Thanks for all the tips.

I got the habit of using the silverware trays for storage from Judy Martin's recent log cabin book. I marked each tray with the size of its strip with a small piece of paper taped to the tray. I've used this system previously for log cabins, and it works great. The patches that don't get used in one log cabin stay organized until you make the next one, since the trays can be stacked and stored.
