I copied the designs onto paper, then arranged them the way I wanted....then drew the design onto tear away stabilizer and sat down at the sewing machine. Picked out my thread for the leaves and covered the area with thread. Using a zig zag stitch with the feed dogs down and the stitch length at zero and the width between 1 and 2. It did take a lot of thread to thoroughly cover the designs. Next time, I am going to try applique and then covering with thread. From my understanding it can be done either way.
