Will you be on the east coast?? One of the greatest US winters I spent in NZ summer, backpacking and youth hostelling around both Islands. I learned so much that fascinated me.
And I love the NZ "Christmas tree" All covered in red pom-pom flowers.
If it weren't so far (sigh!!) I'd go again in a heartbeat. I met so many friendly people and quilters.
