I have a Viking 550. It's about 14 or 15 years old and I have sewn clothes, quilts (including denim ones), patched heavy canvas work pants, made kids clothes and all the curtains for my house. Have never had any problems with it and it's only been in the shop once just for a check up. Nothing was wrong. Vikings are really good machines. You won't go wrong buying any one of them.
