Peckish is right.. that article is giving instructions for a Quilt As You Go block not quilt...

just follow the same string directions just OMIT the batting and backing.... Make the block and then finish off the quilt like any other..


I usually sew strips on to a piece of paper from my telephone book.. Lots of pages in there.. make my stitches smaller so the paper tears off easily. cut the size block i want, in the direction of the strings i want and its done..
