Default Reunion State Sampler

We are having a cousins reunion in August and I decided to do a sampler quilt with a block for each state from which people will attend. At the end of the reunion we will draw a name to win the quilt. Some of the blocks are good old standards - like the Ohio Star and the Road to Califorina but I also designed some since I couldn't find blocks for states like Utah & Washington, etc. From top left the states are Ohio, North Dakota, California, 2nd row Utah, New York City (for a cousin that spends half of the year here in ND and the rest in NYC), Washington, bottom row Florida, Illinois and Arizona. Also quilted in some American symbols - the best of which turned out to be the eagles head in the Wash. block but I still need to clean up some of the paper bits on that. Nobody knows I'm doing this yet - hope they appreciate it. Since I am also the family genealogist - I now have to get busy and put together a family history book. Why do I always do the fun thing first???
