Since you're not so much into quilting and surely do not want to distract from the gorgeous piecing, I would stay simple, and in the general movement of each row. Top row something with circular movement, maybe loose swirls. Second row I can picture diagonal cross hatching, matching the angle of the blocks. Third row perhaps straight vertical lines, perhaps random widths apart? Sailboats call for something wavy, suggesting water, such as horizontal wavy lines; the next row of pinwheels would be great with a spiral in each. SID for the houses, maybe with something spiky in the trees, and bottom row with diagonal lines to match the angle of the star points. The border calls for something that travels around the whole thing to tie it all togehter, whether a vine, feathers, or even meandering.

I'm looking forward to seeing the finished quilt, and keeping it in mind for my "to make" list, as I really like the repeated sampler blocks, with the variety of the rows. It's just wonderful!
