They are a family of Menonites, and I don't think they're beliefs support a lot of technological advancements. That said, they do service computerized Berninas and seem to do a great job. (He replaced an updated sensor on my Bernina 820, and didn't charge me extra!). The man told me the price for a yearly clean and service is only $38!!!!! It's $48 for an 8 Series machine. Sure with I had known this earlier on, because I've been forking over $100 or more per service.
