This weekend I tried to take short cuts with a log cabin I was making for a co workers new home. I decided I could trim the logs as I go and not take the time to square them off.

Boy was I wrong. The machine immediately started acting up. the bobbin was chocking and tangling. The tension wouldn't stay tight. It was a mess. I thought I was going to have to stop and clean the entire machine.

My roommate jokingly suggested our "ghost lady" was messing up the machine because I was trying to take the short cut. So I stepped away, got my seam ripper and went to town taking all the seams apart. I then ironed and squared all my blocks and started to sew again.

Believe it or not, it sewed without a missed stitch.

No more shortcuts for me.
