Boy was i wrong. The machine immediately started acting up. The bobbin was chocking and tangling. The tension wouldn't stay tight. It was a mess. I thought i was going to have to stop and clean the entire machine.
My roommate jokingly suggested our "ghost lady" was messing up the machine because i was trying to take the short cut. So i stepped away, got my seam ripper and went to town taking all the seams apart. I then ironed and squared all my blocks and started to sew again.
Believe it or not, it sewed without a missed stitch.
No more shortcuts for me.
