Thanks everyone!! I'm really loving the fabrics I bought a while back - ordered from I think keepsake quilting [maybe]. The plaid on A7 [appropriately "Dad's Plaid" block] and the paisley on A9 were from a Moda civil war 10" square stack [layer cake???]. No "Y" seams on A9. If I manage to complete A11, I will post today. I don't mind those seams myself [particularly after taking A1 apart so often - I must hold the 'reverse sewing' record! by the way I know how to 'unquilt' as well I got lots of experience when my machine was acting poorly]

Yes Nancy - I should've picked up on joining those sections too. If you all look carefully before making A9, you can add triangles around the white-striped row. That will also help because you don't have to match the seam lines on the triangles!! did some reverse sewing there.
