Help!
I am working on a pattern from a jelly roll quilt book. It is called starlight express (basically four lonestar quilt blocks made with jelly rolls). One of the reasons I picked this pattern is that it avoids set in seams by using half square triangles for the background of the star. the triangles go on each side of the pieced diamond to create a "wedge." sew the wedges together and presto you get a lonestar block.
Here's the problem. the book doesn't give any measurements for the triangles! all it says is to "cut four strips 98-Mayin. sub cut into 16 98-Mayin squares, cut in half to form 32 half square triangles X.


Am I missing something? 98in is way to big, is it a typo? something is going over my head. What in the world in 98-Mayin?

btw: the instrutions for triangle y is crystal clear (make 16 7in squares, cut in half to form 32 half square triangles Y)

these mystery triangle Xs are driving me batty.
